Happy Housemates

Role: Researcher & Designer

Team: Self

Project: For SI 582, we were asked to consider a community, research that community and competitor products, and come up with an interactive solution. The community I chose was unrelated adult housemates. I created the prototype to meet two needs of this group:

  1. Encourage individuals to understand their own preferences and how their preferences differ from others in the household
  2. Help housemates become aware of and address differences before they come an issue

What is a BA? Presentation

Role: Presenter, Organizer (Motor City Business Analysts)

Team: Self

Project: I’m really passionate about the importance of the business analyst role on projects (whether in title, or in practice). In this presentation, I describe what a BA does and how they add value to projects.

Project Under NDA

Role: Scrum Master, Business Analyst & QA

Team: Client, RIIS team (UI designer, developers)

Project: This project was both exciting and challenging because I was responsible for getting it off the ground. I led the development team through sprints 0 - 6. I coached the client through implementation decisions. It was amazing seeing an app morph from ideas and designs to a working prototype.
